Behind the scenes

This is the first video I've ever made--emo music, Parkinson's shaky hands, and all. Well, minus a shitty one I spliced together with a point-and-shoot when I was 16, and a day of recording but no editing at Thunderhill a few years ago. After a painful 45 minutes transferring files from computer to computer, finding an MP3 of the song I wanted, and staring blankly at an incredibly intimidating new UI as I opened Adobe Premiere for the second time in my life, I set to work and another hour or so later here we are. For deciding on a whim to stop taking photos and utilize my 5D's video functions and having barely 4 minutes of footage to play with, I think this has served its learning purpose for the day. Things I've learned: - Cutting audio is a BITCH! - Videography is NOT photography - Get a tripod, woman, geez... - Cliche....cliche....cliche.... - The nerds who design graphics programs have to be geniuses. Can you imagine covering every single minute base that some artist would want? - In my boyfriend's words, he "loves listening to me learn; I sound like a mad scientist," with constant loud cursing and shouts of "A-HA!" I don't plan on chasing pipedreams of filmmaking, that ship sailed by the time I was 10, but I'll be damned if I don't master the art of behind the scenes footage!
